Hollywood Angus is located on "The Grange", 14 km south west of Peak Hill in central western NSW. Lyn and Ian Frecklington established Hollywood Angus Stud in 2000 after 25 years of breeding commercial Angus cattle. The stud currently runs 120 registered females, producing around 30 bulls each year using natural service sires and AI sires from Canada & US, as well as carrying out embryo programmes with leading dams.

Strong emphasis is placed on the phenotype, structural soundness, temperament and maternal qualities of our cattle. The standard of our cattle has been tested in the show ring, with multiple Bull & Female Championships and Interbreed honours won at Dubbo Beef Spectacular, Bendigo Beef, Sydney & Melbourne Royals.

Bulls are for sale all year by private treaty. We invite you to come and inspect our bulls on property at your leisure, where you can walk around and appreciate their good temperament, with no obligation to buy. All bulls are Breedplan recorded and free of AM, NH & CA by test or pedigree.

Thank you for visiting our blog site. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about our stud.

Genetic Test Results = Good News for Hollywood Herd
Genetic test results for Eudunda Lochton W1 (CA Future Direction x Merridale Wilcoola S198) have found him to be FREE of AM (Arthrogryposis Multiplex), NH (Neuropathic Hydrocephalus) and CA (Contractural Arachnodactyly). He is one of the few sons of Future Direction to have tested free of all three genetic conditions. Eudunda Lochton served as the foundation sire for Hollywood Stud and is the sire or grandsire of the majority of our cow herd. This means that the majority of our females and all bulls offered for sale are also free by pedigree of AM, NH and CA.
